Our story

A small studio, a long table, and rather a lot of ribbon

GiftNest started in 2017 on a kitchen table in Greenpoint, wrapping presents for friends who kept insisting we should charge for it.

We still work the same way. Everything is packed by hand in our Brooklyn workshop, from papers we mill ourselves and ribbon we buy by the roll from a family in Como. We only sell things we'd happily receive, which turns out to be a surprisingly effective filter.
